Octordle
Octordle is a brand new version of Wordle, a spin-off built for players who want to guess more words per game in the word guessing genre. You have to guess 8 5 letter words, in a game, with up to 13 attempts.
How to Play
Octordle is simply a multitasking version of Wordle with 8 concurrent grids working at the same time. Naturally, for each grid and each word, the rules are exactly the same as Wordle's, namely the same color coding and the same 5-letter words in the English Dictionary. Octordle compared to Wordle and Quordle is somewhat different. With 13 guesses and eight different vertical lines, the player needs to solve all eight horizontal words at the same time.
Color marking:
- Gray: The letter is completely absent from the target word.
- Yellow: The word is in the text but in the wrong place.
- Green: The letter is in the word and in the right place.
To win the game you need to guess all 8 words correctly.
What is the best word to start the game?
At the beginning of the game, try to use a word that does not repeat letters and has as many vowels as possible, such as the word "RADIO". However, many players find that the best starting word is "CRANE" or "SLOTH", which consists of commonly used letters.
