Artle
Artle game follows a similar concept to Wordle in that participants are shown a new series of four artworks from the museum's collection each day, with four opportunities to guess the creator. Scores are simple to share on social media.
The museum claims to have recorded hundreds of thousands of players from practically every country on the planet.
How to play
The Gallery gives a few letters into each guess, which is very useful for people taking wild shots in the dark.
A button, like Wordle, gives a streamlined invitation to brag about your prowess on social media when you've finished your daily Artle. Returning visitors can view their statistics in the upper right hand corner.
There's no shame in failing to identify an artist after four tries; it's just a free chance to expand your knowledge with titles and links to the four works you just spent time viewing.
